Caught between an Asteroid and a Hard Place

So this was an idea I had to write just a story about, but I realized that it's better suited for an RP than a story.

Multispecies universe/civilization, united by one central government. The species are as follows, but I'll take into consideration any other suggestions offered.

The Terran are the most adaptable, and as such can work any job type

Shu?n are humanoids with warm color spectrum skintones, horns, shark-like teeth, bony knucklepads. They are natural stimfiends, which means they can produce chemical compounds within their bodies to induce various effects.

The Kharm resemble crocodile people, and usually play the gentle giants and scholars. They are unparalleled in memory capacity and intelligence. However, they are often hired to serve as bodyguards for important businessmen or mob bosses due to their imposing size.

Firthii are dwarf sized mammalians, who's composition is generally rodent-like, though other forms have been observed. They are incredibly shrewd businessmen, and indisputably the wealthiest race per capita in the known galaxy.

Ubongon are lanky multi-jointed humanoids, whose completely hairless bodies and vibrant eyecolors disturb many citizens. They have hands for feet, making them good mechanics. They are the most technologically advanced of all races.

The Cluster-galactic overlords, rulers of all other species. Oppressive empire that utilizes fear and brutality to maintain its rule. Genetically very similar to terrans, leading to mistrust of terrans in civilized space, and open hostility in fringe space.

I envision a classic future scifi scenario, where first contact with humans led to advancement in technology and space colonization. Sorta mass effect-y, but without all the reliance on one technology(mass effect generators). An evil empire makes contact with terrans, uplifts them due to the similarities, grants them preferential treatment in all things, leading to jealousy by other species. The Rebellion began brewing to overthrow Cluster overlords. It was discovered and persecuted, but still prevalent due to spread and disorganization, which makes combating it difficult. Rebellion just as unpopular with the neutral population as the Empire, due to similarities in behavior and their treatment of the cities they occupy.

Looking for co-gm's and moderators first, though interested players are always welcome.
