Most Tragic Spiderman Villians

Spiderman rogue gallery is almost as diverse as Batman, although you could provide the argument that his villains are little more tragic since the villains in his case are often science gone mad, not just people mad. Now whether agree with this, is debatable.

Morbius

Michael Morbius was born in Greece. He was originally a Nobel prize-winning biochemist who had attempted to cure himself of a rare blood disease with an experimental treatment involving a sample of Peter Parker's blood, vampire bats and electroshock therapy. However, he instead became afflicted with a far worse condition that mimicked the powers and blood-thirst of legendary vampirism. Morbius now had to digest blood in order to survive and had a strong aversion to light. He gained the ability to fly, as well as strength, speed, and healing abilities. His appearance became hideous?his canine teeth extended into fangs, his nose flattened to appear more like a bat's, and his skin became chalk-white. He also gained the ability to turn others into similar "living vampires" by biting them.

Alistair Smyth

Alistair witnessed his father's failure to destroy Spider-Man (which, as in the comics, caused his apparent death), and was convinced to create spider-slayers to later attack Spider-Man as part of a deal made with the Kingpin. Smythe became Kingpin's primary accomplice for some time, even after Smythe's slayer failed to kill Spider-Man. His association with Kingpin came to an end after the two-parter "Framed/The Man Without Fear", when Spider-Man and Daredevil teamed up to fight the Kingpin, resulting in the arrest of Richard Fisk. Angered at his son's arrest, Kingpin blamed the incident on Smythe's "incompetence" and turned him against his will into the Ultimate Spider Slayer Cyborg with the help of the Kingpin's current replacement partner, Herbert Landon. Breaking free of Kingpin's programming and recovering his father's body (which had been kept alive in stasis by the Kingpin unbeknownst to him initially), Alistair found another employer in Silvermane, who promised to fund research to revive his father. His father was never revived throughout the series.

Sandman

Flint Marko stole to pay for medical treatment for his daughter Penny, who has an unspecified illness. While on the run from the police after escaping from prison, he accidentally fell into an experimental particle accelerator that molecularly bound him with sand, giving him shapeshifting sand abilities.

Man Spider
Spider-Man has had to overcome more than just supervillains. He came to discover that his mutation was turning him into something else. At first it seems as though he was simply loosing his powers. This proved dangerous when Doctor Octopus, Shocker, Rhino, Chameleon, Scorpion, and Mysterio joined together as part of the Insidious Six. The Six beat and unmasked him. However, because his powers were fading they believed it was a trick by Peter who wasn't really Spider-Man. Peter went along with this and then beat them while preserving his dual identity.
Dr. Connors found that the change in his mutation was another stage in his evolution. Spider-Man eventually went to the Xavier Mansion to seek help from Charles Xavier. He encountered the X-Men while looking for a cure but was told that they simply teach mutants to deal with their powers, not cure it.

Peter begins researching into his disease but attracts the attention of classmate Michael Morbius, who believes Peter is trying to win a contest. Morbius uses a sample of Peter's blood and turns himself into a living vampire. Peter's condition gets more painful and when he tries a cure he grows four extra arms! It gets worse when he turns into a large spider creature. He would eventually be cured thanks to the combined efforts of the Punisher, former adversary Kraven the Hunter, and Dr. Mariah

Crawford. Although they turn him back he is not fully cured.

The last one is quite obscure I admit, but it is sorta true. I watched a lot of the animated series as ya can see ;).

We help the multi-nationals
when they cry out protect us.
The locals scream and shout a bit,
but we don?t let that affect us.
We?re here to lend a helping hand
in case they don?t elect us.
How dare they buy our products
yet still they don?t respect us.
